Age Group: 8- to 12-year-olds

Location: Public Space One, 129 E. Washington St., Iowa City (map)

Class is now FULL. Please contact theteam@iywp.org if you have any questions.

What are you doing this summer? Writing a spell to turn your pet iguana into a fire-breathing dragon? Making maps of new galaxies? Helping Captain Cabbage Head save Iowa City from the evil Dr. Gloppy Coleslaw?

Join us for a week of MAGICAL WRITING! In this camp, we’ll zoom into the farthest corners of outer space and into the worlds hidden right in our own backyard. We’ll be writing scrumptious spell haiku, oozy recipes, flash fiction, fortunes, and marvelous myths. We’ll add new words to the dictionary, new animals to the jungle, new maps to the atlas, and new superheroes and supervillains to the universe.
